MEADOWLAND JUNIORS TWO-YEAR BULLS AVERAGE 28i GNS. (Special to Times) OTOROHANGA. Tuesday. A large number or Jersey breeders and farmers a-ttended the annual sale today of Meadowland Jersey two-year-old and yearling- bulls. Tile sale was conducted by Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd., in conjunction with Messrs Abraham and Williams. Ltd., Mr C. E. Robertson being the auctioneer. Twenty-nine .two-year bulls averaged 28$ gns, and 11 yearlings averaged 17$ gits. The cattle entered the ring in excellent condition and bidding was animated throughout. The top-priced two-year-old was Gold Chains Triumph, sold for 51 gns, while a rising two-year-old son of Meadowland Choysa (7601 b butterfat) was sold to a Te Puke breeder at to gns. PIO PIO CATTLE BALE Abraham and Williams, Limited, Te R'uiti, report as follows on the I’io Plo cattle sale on Monday: The advertised entry came forward, the cattle being more than half of the usual number at the spring fair at this centre. The quality was fair while the condition generally was fairly good. There was a good attendance of local and outside district buyers and bidding was keen, values throughout being in favour of vendors. Prices for breeding cows and yearling cattle were nearly double the rates of a year ago. Among the principal sales were 71 Polled Angus yearling steers from Mr L. G. Purdy, £5 17s; 20 from Mr W.
