AIR MAIL LETTERS
REDUCTION OF RATES SERVICE TO BRITAIN (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday The Hon. P. C. Webb, PostmasterGeneral, has announced a reduction from 6s 3d to 5s 9d an half-ounce in the postage rate on airmail letters to the United Kingdom for despatch by trans-Pacific—United States—-trans-Atlantic air services. The rate for postcards has correspondingly been reduced from 3s 2d to 2s lid. The reduction will be effective as from September 9.
