STORAGE BATTERIES (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Tuesday A reduction in the price of storage batteries was announced by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. He said after a comprehensive investigation into the marketing of storage batteries in New Zealand the Price Investigation Tribunal had decided the sale of batteries should be put on a uniform basis. “As a result of the tribunal’s decision, there will be a considerable reduction in the cost of batteries to the public,” said Mr Sullivan. “In some cases the reduction will be as much as 17 J per cent on previous prices for standard and super-grade batteries.”
