SERVICE IN THE ABBEY MEMBERS OF CABINET PRESENT DURING AIR RAID WARNING (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Sept. 4, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 3 Mr Winston Churchill and other members of the Cabinet attended a service to commemorate the first anniversary of war at Westminster Abbey this afternoon, while an air raid warning in London was in progress. Mr Churchill drove to the Abbey after the warning had been sounded. During the service the faint boom of guns was heard, and shortly before the end, while prayers were being said, the “All Clear” was heard.
