NEXT WEEK

MOBILISATION DATE

FOURTH REINFORCEMENTS ENCAMPING ON THURSDAY MEN IN HAMILTON AREA Men being called up for service with the Fourth Reinforcements of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force will be mobilised next week. It has been announced that recruits for Trentham and Burnham will enter camp on Thursday September 12 and, although the date has not been definitely fixed for the other camps, it is almost certain that the drafts for Papakura and Hopu Hopu will enter camp on the same day. The largest draft yet mobilised is being called up in the No. 4 (Hamilton) area for the Fourth Reinforcements. It includes almost 600 men, the majority being drafted to Papakura, and others to Hopu Hopu, Trentham, and Burnham. Men called up for Burnham will parade at the Drill Hall, Hamilton, on the night of September 10 and leave in the early hours of Wednesday morning by a special train for Wellington from whence they will embark for the South Island. The time of departure from Frankton Junction of the special train has not yet been announced but men will be notified of the time they are to parade cvn Tuesday night within the

next few days. About 75 men from the No. 4 area will be trained at Burnham. Men For Trentham Approximately 130 men from the No. 4 area will encamp at Trentham. They will parade in Hamilton on j the evening of Wednesday next, September 11, and depart from I Frankton by a special train. A definite time for parading will be given to these men within the next few days also. Notices will be posted to the men when the time has been fixed. Many men who have expressed a desire, when volunteering, to be posted to a transport unit may consider their wish has not been complied with. The military authorities in Hamilton point out, however, that every unit of the modem army includes transport and these men will probably be drivers in the unit to which they have been drafted. Men Being Called Up The following is the list of men from the No. 4 (Hamilton) area who will be mobilised next week, and also the camps in which the various units will train: MEN FOR PAPAKURA 9th Field Company, New Zealand Engineers J.
