ANNUAL TOURNAMENT Returned soldiers from many parts of the Waikato competed in the annual Diggers’ golf tournament at Okoroire at the week-end. Results were as follows: First day morning medal, W. Murray (Tuakau); afternoon bogey, H. H. Toombs (Hamilton) 3 up. Second day—Veterans’ Cup: H. Ford (Matamata), the holder, 145, 4 —141; runner-up, L. Martin (Tuakau), 160, 10—150; best net score, G. Lindsay (Te Aroha), the holder, 161, 28—133; runner-up, R. Lawton (Matamata) 167, 28—139; morning medal, J. Kilgour (Te Aroha), 76, 9—67; afternoon medal, J. Curran (Te Aroha), 80, 15—65.
