TORPEDOED AND SUNK
FATE OF BRITISH SLOOP ADMIRALTY ANNOUNCEMENT (United i-ress Assn—Elec. Tel. Copyrlg-nt) (Received September 3, 11 a.m.) LONDON, September 2 It is announced in an Admiralty communique that the sloop Penzance was torpedoed by a U-boat and sunk. The Admiralty announced that there were casualties on the Penzance, which was commanded by Commander A. J. Wavish.
