CLIPPER ARRIVES

WELCOME TO AMERICANS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Monday The American Clipper left Noumea at 7.25 this morning (New Zealand time) and arrived at Auckland at 2 p.m. The flying-boat brought 11 distinguished American businessmen. Seven will return to America by the Clipper, probably tomorrow, and seven go to Australia to-morrow or on Wednesday. The Minister of Lands, the Hon. F. Langstone, welcomed the party on behalf of the Government and will preside at a State dinner at the Grand Hotel to-night. The clipper left Noumea on Thursday but turned back because of bad flying conditions.
