BUILDING IN HAMILTON ONLY SEVEN NEW HOUSES Another large decline in the amount of building in Hamilton last month, compared with the corresponding month last year, is recorded in the building figures for the borough. During the month 21 permits were issued compared with 40 la.t year for August, while the value of the permits at £9,491 was well below the corresponding figures of £31,615. During last month permits for only seven new houses were compared with 23 houses ' August, 1939.
