ARRESTS FOR DEBT
CASES OF MEN SERVING (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Saturday Members of the Armed Forces cannot be arrested on a. civil warrant for debt without the consent of the naval, military or air force authority, as the case may be. This is the general effect of the Arrest (Armed Forces) Emergency Regulations which have been gazetted. The regulations, similar to those in force in the Great War, ensure that creditors cannot deprive the Crown of the services of men of the Armed Forces.
