MINIATURE BOWLS

CLAUDELANDS & INDOOR CLUBS The Claudelands , Bowling Club challenged the Hamilton Indoor Bowling Club to a game of miniature bowls, the competition taking place at the Hamilton Fire Station on Saturday night. Four rinks were engaged on each side, and three rounds of 11 heads each were played. Hamilton won by eight games to four, and by 146 points to 112. Detailed results were as follows, the names of the Hamilton Club members being mentioned first:— First round: Keenan, Russell, Lymburn. and Haines 12, v. Henry, Fow, Cobb, Clevely 8; Mathers, Ladner, Thorlaw, N. Hamilton 10, v. Tyler, Robinson, Baker, Peterson 11; Brown, Rogers, Cox, Webb 18, v. Roach, Butt, Mead, Millington 9; R. Kelly, P. Kelly, Kingdon, W. Bourne 8, v. Boardman, Joyce, Webber, Wilkinson 10. Second round: Bourne 8, v. Peterson 16; Haines 13, v. Millington 8; Hamilton 12, v. Wilkinson 6; Webb 16, v. Clevely 3. Third round: Webb 17, v. Wilkinson 8; Bourne 17, v. Clevely 5; Haines 9 v. Peterson 7; Hamilton 2, v. Millington 15. Mr W. Bourne, chairman of the Hamilton Fire Board, extended a welcome to the members of the Claudelands Club, and acted as host at supper. Mr H. D. Cobb, president of the Claudelands Club, returned thanks.
