BATTERY CAMP

MEN FOR TRAINING TENTS AT CLAUDELANDS MOBILISATION ON MONDAY Nearly 100 members of the 7th Medium Battery, New Zealand Artillery, will go under canvas at Claudelands Showgrounds on Monday for one month’s intensive training under the Government’s home defence scheme for territorial units. The battery is composed of B troop and headquarters troop from Hamilton and A troop from Auckland. Included in those chosen to go into camp are the officers and non-com-missioned officers who have completed two months’ preliminary training at the Hopu Hopu camp.
