AUCKLAND STATISTICS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Saturday For the eight months ended today Auckland marriages numbered nearly 600 more than for the same period last year—2sß6 compared with 2002. Registry office marriages in August were 278, compared with 283 in August last year. Births in August were 343, an increase of 68 over the previous August, the total for the eight months being 2508, an increase of 458.
