IT WAS LOVELY The maid had been to the “pictures,” and on her return her employer asked: “Did you enjoy it?” “Oh, yes,” said she. “It was lovely, mum.” “What was the picture?” The maid thought for a minute, then said: “I don't know, mum ... I went with my young man!” AMAZING SUGGESTION
The film people had made the picture from the book. That is, they had almost made it. They were on the last scene. And they were stuck. They couldn’t figure out how to end it. Suggestion after suggestion as to how to end it was made, but none seemed to be the right ending. And then somebody got a wonderful idea. A novel suggestion—something no one had thought of. “Why not have the same ending the book has?” was the amazing suggestion..
