GOLF IN ROTORUA
VETERANS’ TOURNAMENT (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) ROTORUA, Friday Strong opposition \vas offered b> G. Marriott, of Hamilton, in the quarter-finals of the Veterans’ Cup at the annual veterans’ tournamenl of the Rotorua Golf Club yesterday but he was eliminated by G. H Scott, after the game had gone to the 20th hole. A. F. Cole, of Hamilton, enterec the semi-finals of the Consolatior Cup by defeating W. B. Lees, 2 up Cole will meet C. M. Russell in the semi-finals. Results of the quarter-finals of the Veterans’ Cup were as follows: G. H. Scott beat G. Marriott, a! the 20th; F. A. H. Gibbs beat R Haldane, 1 up; C. Worthington bea’ j. N. Anderson, 4 and 3; FI. M Hutchinson beat J. Banks, at the 20th.
