VISIT TO GIBRALTAR
GOVERNOR OF ALGECIRAS FRIENDLY DEMONSTRATIONS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) GIBRALTAR, Aug. 22 The Governor of Gibraltar, Lieu-tenant-General Sir Clive Liddell, and representatives of all services, the civil administration and the Church, cordially drank the health of General Franco when the new Governor of Algeciras, General Munoz Grandes, paid a ceremonial visit to Gibraltar. General Grandes honoured the toast of His Majesty the King. Friendly demonstrations included a 21-gun salute, contrary to wartime custom.
