CRIPPLED CHILDREN
LADY GALWAY’S INTEREST Opening the annual meeting of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society, Her Excellency, Lady Galway, remarked on the presence of more men than women, which she said was a reversal of the usual state of affair..; at other meetings which she had had the privilege of opening. Lady Galway said that in a world tom by war it was naturally harder to keep good causes prominently before the public, but a sense of proportion had to be maintained, and though the future of all their lives depended on the outcome of the war it was necessary to keep the flag flying in such causes as that espoused by the society.
