REFUSED HIGHER WAGES
MEMBERS OF SHIP’S CREW ECHO OF CHINESE STRIKE (By Telegraph.—special to Times* WESTPORT, Tuesday After the Chinese members of the stokehold who were granted an increase in wages after a strike of a week rejoined an overseas vessel today, the members of the deck crew, who had not been on strike, refused to go on duty until their wages were increased. This the company agreed to, but some of the men, including a fireman, refused to take the extra money asked for.
