BUILDING OF SHIPS
ADVICE TO AUSTRALIA FROM BRITISH GOVERNMENT WORK ON WAR VESSELS (United Press Assn.—Eicc. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 21, 3.15 p.m.) CANBERRA, August 21 The British Government, according to a Sun correspondent, has advised Australia, in connection with its shipbuilding programme, to concentrate on the building of destroyers, sloops, mine-sweepers, and coastal escort vessels, and leave the construction of 10,000-ton cargo vessels to the British yards, which are better equipped.
