MRS REGINALD KAIN
STAYING IN CHESHIRE MISS KAIN JOINING W.A.A.F. Mrs R. G. Kain, mother of the late Flying Officer E. J. (“Cobber”) Kain, D.F.C., and her daughter, Miss Judy Kain, are staying with Miss Joyce Phillips, Flying Officer Kain’s fiancee, at Great Mollir.gton, Cheshire. Mrs Kain hopes shortly to attend an investiture at Buckingham Palace, when she will receive her son’s Distinguished Flying Cross. Miss Kain is planning to join the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force. Colours in memory of the late Flying Officer Kain were presented at Belle Vue to the 174th (2nd Manchester) Squadron of the Air Defence Cadet Corps by Miss Phillips. Kain had promised to present them himself. Mrs Kain and Miss Kain were present at the ceremony. The squadron, supported by several visiting squadrons, made a brave show on the Speedway Stadium as they paraded for the impressive ceremony. After Miss Phillips had presented the colours and they had been dedicated by Canon Paton-Williams, Cadet Air Commodore R. H. Dobson took the salute.
