FOG HAMPERS WORK TRIALS AT TE RAPA PREPARATION FOR PAKURANGA Owing to a thick fog enveloping the course at Te Rapa this morning until a late hour the galloping of horses with engagements at the approaching Pakurange Hunt at Ellerslie was considerably hampered and only in cases where horses galloped over a circuit of the course could they be timed. Conditions generally were cold and unpleasant. Among those to gallop over sprint distances in the fog were Beau Repaire, Marshall Hall, Olympus, Young Paddon, Raceline, Bronze Bird, liunto, Gay Rosette, Tooley Street, Joy Vaals, Sieglinde, Acute and Forest Acre. Lornacre (O. Mclnally) ran once round easily in 2.28 1-5, Game’s Choice (Winder) shading Calshot (Mclnally) in 2.15. Abbey King was doing better than Dark Rose and Master Brierly over a circuit in 2.17.
