SECOND ROUND OF TOURNEY * VICTORY FOR HAMILTON Second round matches played today in the secondary schools’ hockey tournament resulted:— Section A.—Auckland Grammar 2, drew with Palmerston North 2; Hamilton 2, beat Wellington Technical 1; Gisborne 4, beat Auckland Technical 0. Section B.—Mt. Albert Grammar 1, beat Wellington College 0: Howick High 4, beat Wairarapa College 2; Stratford (1939 champions) 4, beat Auckland Grammar B 3. Rumania has appointed a Government commissioner to take over the Concordia oil company, the £1.000.000 Franco-Beiglan concern, according to the Berlin pews agency.
