LABOURER FOR SENTENCE
Appearing before Messrs J. R. Fow and A. K. Alexander, J.’sP., in the Police Court, Hamilton, today on a charge of unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 16, on or about October 18, 1939, Percival Charles Yates, aged 37, a labourer at the Te Whetu sawmill, Putaruru, was committed to the Supreme Court, Auckland, for sentence. Accused, who was represented by counsel, pleaded guilty to the charge.
