WEEK-END SHOWER
THIS MORNING’S FROST After a light shower before one o’clock on Saturday the week-end was fine till after 4.30 p.m. yesterday, when a most unexpected shower was experienced. Sunny conditions had drawn large crowds to the parks when without warning a large rain cloud appeared and a sharp downfall of rain and hail occurred. A frost of 2.4 degrees was recorded at Ruakura yesterday morning, the reading there this morning was 10.5 degrees. The Hamilton frost this morning was 9 degrees.
