HORA HORA FAREWELL
PRESENTATION TO TEACHER A very happy social evening was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs L. A. Taylor, Hora Hora. on Tuesday evening, when a farewell was extended to Mr and Mrs F. P. Kennan. During the past 18 months Mr Keenan has acted as the district school teacher and he has now been transferred to a Tauranga district school. Mr J. Forsyth, chairman of the Hora Hora Rapids School Committee, on behalf of the residents, paid tribute to the good service Mr Keenan had given and as a mark of esteem, a presentation of a set of crystal water jug and glasses was made to the guests-of-honour. Mr Keenan suitably replied. Mr and Mrs Keenan were then accorded musical honours, after which an enjoyable time was spent with musical and vocal items.
