RAGLAN PLUNKET SOCIETY

ANNUAL MEETING HELD PRESENTATION TO SECRETARY The annual meeting of the Raglan sub-branch of the Plunket Society was held recently, when Mrs R. A. Pascoe, vice-president, presided. Mrs N. Blomfield and Miss Ansienne, president and secretary of the Hamilton branch, were present. The annual report stated that a successful year had been experienced, and the balance sheet showed a credit of £7 9s 6d. The election of officers resulted.as follows:—President, Mrs C. S. Middlebrook; vice-presidents, Mesdames R. A. Pascoe and Mrs J. Halliday; secretary. Mrs B. Oxenbridge; committee, Mesdames D. Welch, W. Bates, S. Phillips, A. Butterworth, G. Kenah, F. Lichtwark. In appreciation of her services during the past two years a presentation was made to the retiring secretary, Mrs C. H. Marcroft, and a vote of thanks was also passed. Votes of thanks were also passed to Mesdames Middlebrook and Halliday for collecting, Mrs Cushman for providing luncheon for the 'nurse, Messrs Chitty and Holloway for free use of rooms and Mr R. A. Pascoe for auditing the books. A very interesting address on the pre-school child and Plunket work generally was given by Mrs Blomfield, who was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
