Lady Hutchison, Dunedin, who has been visiting Tauranga on holiday, was in Hamilton yesterday and left last night for the south. Mrs J. E. Mara an e, Hamilton, is on a visit to Rotorua. Mrs M. C. Gudex, Hamilton, leaves during the week-end for a holiday at Taihape. * • * * Mrs G. Primrose, Hamilton, is spending a holiday in Rotorua. Mrs Gordon Hovey, Hamilton, left today for a holiday at Waihi Beach. Mrs H. W. Sayers, Hamilton, is spending the school vacation in Auckland. Mrs S. E. Senior, Hamilton, will spend the school holidays in Auckland. Mrs N. K. Campbell, Hamilton, is visiting her daughter,. Mrs A. Bridgford, Auckland. Mrs A. E. Langley, Whangarei, is also her guest. Mrs Hugh Morton, Hamilton, has returned from farewell ing Mrs Bruce Anderson on her return to Brisbane from Auckland. • * « * Mrs W. A. Maunsell, Te Rapa, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Mrs P. G. McLachlan, Hamilton, left last night for Wanganui. • * * • Mrs E. Walker, Bucklands, who is In Hamilton for the WilliamsWatkins wedding, is the guest of Mrs E. J. Watkins. Mrs A. Enwright, Wellington, is visiting her mother, Mrs G. Louden, Hamilton. Mrs Courtney Barrell has left Hamilton to reside at Opotiki, Bay of Plenty. Mrs A. Cowley is spending the week-end as the guest of Mrs L. P. Miers, Harapepe. Miss C. Hogg, of the staff of the Hamilton High School, leaves tomorrow for Dunedin. • * • • Miss S. E. Satchell, headmistress ©f the Waikato Diocesan School for Girls, has left to spend the vacation in Christchurch. • • * • Miss A. C. Bowley and Miss H. Halliday, Hamilton, are spending tho school holidays in Gisborne. Miss E. Hadfield, formerly of the staff of the Diocesan School, will shortly take up her duties at the Correspondence School, Wellington. Miss Norma Watkins, Auckland, is visiting Hamilton for the WilliamsWatkins wedding today. • * * * The next knitting evening of ttie Hamilton High School Old Girls’ Association will be held on Wednesday next at the home of Mrs A. P. Nelson, Ulster Street. The Te Kawa Hall was crowded last Thursday evening for the farewell dance to four soldiers from the district. Best wishes were expressed by Messrs J. Wallis and C. K. Olds, the latter presenting Privates Cliff Henderson, Norman Zun, Roger Berry and Joe Bruce each with a money belt and cheque. Appreciative acknowledgment was made by each soldier, and at the close musical honours were accorded them. Two solos were sung by Mr J. Rogers. An enjoyable concert, arranged by the Women’s Auxiliary, Frankton branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, was taken to the Old People’s Home recently. Mr T. Skittrup led the community singing, and gave a number of comet solos. Mr Dargan was the pianist and Miss Nita Skittrup sang several songs. Afternoon tea was served. TE KAWA Mrs W. Pollock, Hawera, is the guest of her mother, Mrs M. Campbell. * • • • Mrs H. Henderson is visiting her giiter, Mrs W. Eady, Auckland. 0 m m + Mrs M. Campbell has returned from a visit to Rotorua, where she was the guest of her daughter, Mrs Coghlan. * * • * Mrs C. Anderson, Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs A. Thorsen. • * * • Miss E. Heron, who was the guest of Mrs C. S. McLean, has left for her home in Auckland. • * • * Mrs Howcroft, Gisborne, who was the guest of Mrs H. Howcroft. is now the guest of Mrs S. G. Broadbent.
