GERMAN PARACHUTES
DISCOVERY IN SCOTLAND CORDON AROUND AREA THROUGH PRECAUTIONS TAKEN (United Press Assn.—E;ec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Aug. 14 Scottish shepherds found sixteen open parachutes in a district over which a large plane was seen flying yesterday. The military placed a cordon around the area. Soldiers and Home Guards vigilantly searched all passing vehicles and checked identification.
One driver, emphasising the thoroughness of the precautions, said he had been stopped twenty times in eight miles.
