FAREWELL PARTY
ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED An enjoyable evening was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs L. Grogan, Winter Street, Claudelands, to farewell Private W. L. Richards, only son of Mr and Mrs J. Richards, who is leaving with the third echelon. The occasion was also in honour of the engagement of Private W. L. Richards to Miss Ruth Civil, second daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Civil, Papakura. Musical items were given by Mr L. Cooper, Mr M. Taylor and Mr L. Grogan. Those present were:—Mrs Grogan, Mrs J. Richards Mrs E. J. Karl, Mrs Doel, Mrs L. Cooper, Mrs Manktelow, Miss Rene Hutchinson. Miss June Pritt, Miss E. Civil, Miss M. Brent.
