YANKEE CAKE Quarter - pound butter, one teacup sugar, breaKfast cups flour, half breakfast cup milk, one cup minced raisins, two eggs, one teaspoon baking soda. Beat butter and sugar to cream, add eggs, one at a time, and beat well, then add flour and milk alternately, beating all the time, and lastly add minced raisins and soda dissolved in one tablespoon hot milk. Put in sandwich tins and bake about 20 minutes in moderate oven. When cold, put together with whipped cream or mock cream. Minced raisins and a few chopped walnuts can be added
