Copyright) (Received August 13, 3.15 p.m.)WASHINGTON, Aug. 12 A message from a radio amateur at Charleston said six persons were drowned by a 12-foot tide resulting from a hurricane. Hundreds of peple have been rendered homeless. WASHINGTON, August 12 Tlie Red Cross has reported that 25 people are dead at St. Helena Island. off the south Carolinian coast, as a result of the hurricane.
