CAMBRIDGE FAREWELL
THIRD ECHELON HONOURED All available space at the Cambridge Town Hall was thronged by those eager to honour members of the Third Echelon, when the Cambridge inter-zone Patriotic Committee arranged a dance on Saturday night. As in the farewell dances for the soldiers who have since gone overseas, the men who are now on final leave marched into the hall through a guard of honour of “Diggers of 1914-1918” and were addressed by the Deputy-Mayor, Mr A. H. Nicoll. Mrs Nicoll presented each with an initialled wallet. Capt. R. R. Atkinson responded on behalf of the soldiers.
