FORGERY ADMITTED

SAVINGS BANK SLIP : % (By Telegraph.—special to Times) AUCKLAND, Monday A member of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, Henry Olsen, masseur, single, aged 29, admitted charges of forgery and uttering when he appeared before Mr C. R. Orr Walker, S.M., in the Police Court to-day. He was represented by Mr Bryce Hart. In a statement to detectives, accused admitted finding a post office savings bank book in a bathroom at Whenuapai, and the next afternoon he forged the signature of the owner and attempted to obtain £2O from the bank in the city. A bank official said the man in uniform who presented the withdrawal slip disappeared while the signatures were being compared. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
