HAPPY DANCE

KARAMU BASKETBALL CLUB A jolly dance, organised by the Karamu Basketball Club, under the guidance of the president, Mrs J. Harper, and secretary, Miss L. Cheyne, was held recently at the Te Pahu Hall. The attendance was very good and the neighbouring districts were well represented. The music was supplied by Messrs F. Beet, V. Hopping, G. Stephenson and Mrs L. Anderson. The winners of the novelty items were Miss B. Clark and Mr J. Sigvertsen, and Miss E. Godfrey and Mr B. Baxter. Mr Hopping was master of ceremonies. Among those present were:—Mesdames J. Harper, Beet Snr. (Pirongia), J. Cheyne, G. Bridson (Ngahinapouri), A. Smith, F. Beet (Pirongia), L. Adams, V. Hopping, L. Anderson, G. Godfrey (Hamilton), L. Cheyne, B. Smith, M. Cheyne, B. Clark, J. Smith, M. Hill, E. Sage (Ohaupo), J. Chapman, L. Smith, N. Troupe (Hamilton), Val Cheyne, G. Strong, J. Charters, B.
