CORONATION BALL
TIRAU FUXCTION The coronation ball held after the crowning ceremony in the Tirau Hall on Wednesday in every way lived up to expectations of being one of the most picturesque events held in Tirau. The interest taken in this event was shown by the large attendance of dancers and spectators. The decorating had been carried out under the supervision of Mr G. Wilson and Mr Chaytor, the colour scheme chosen being red, white, blue and gold, the colours of the four queens. During an interval in the dancing a presentation of a wristlet watch was made to Sergeant Bus.by. On behalf of the local Patriotic Society, Mr Rose wished Sergeant Busby the best of luck in the Air Force and a safe return. Among those present were:—Mesdames F. Rose, black soie; T.
