SEMI-FINALS FOR TROPHIES
PLAY AT ST. ANDREWS In good golfing conditions, but with the links much slower than during the previous week-end, the semi-final games in the captain’s and vicecaptain’s trophies were played at St. Andrews golf links on Saturday. In the captain’s trophy games C. C. Ladner beat E. Etheridge, 1 up and M. A. Kelly beat G. Marriott, 6 and 5. In the vice-captain’s trophy matches N. Cann beat C. Sutcliffe, t up, and S. M. Mayes beat H. P. Clark. 7 and 6.
