“MARAMA” SCENERY

PURCHASED FOR ROTORUA REQUEST FOR PERFORMANCE The Hastings Operatic Society has been successful in disposing of the scenery which it procured for “Marama,” the purchase price being practically the original cost to the society. The buyer is the Rotorua Borough Council, which intends to use the scenery as stock fittings for performances in that town, and accompanying the sale was a request that “Marama” should be performed in Rotorua by the players who presented it in Hastings. No decision has yet been reached as to whether the visit will be made to Rotorua.
