POULTRY, BUTTER AND EGGS THE AUCKLAND MARKETS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Saturday The following prices were realised at the city markets:— Poultry.—Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 7s to 8s each; not prime, 5s to 6s; light breeds, prime, 5s to 7s; not prime, 3s to 3s 6d; fat hens, heavy breeds, 5s to 6s; light breeds, 3s 9d to 4s 6d; drakes, young, prime, 4s to ss; smaller, 2s to 3s; cockerel chicks, heavy breeds, 3d; light breeds, Id. Eggs and Butter.—Eggs: Hen, heavy, Is 7id a dozen; standard, Is 6Ad; medium, Is 4£d. Duck: Standard, Is 6id a dozen; medium, Is s£d; small, Is 3£d. Farmers’ butter, Is 4d to Is 8d per lb.
