HELD UP AT MANILA CLOSING OF BURMA ROAD (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 10, 11 a.m.) MANILA, August 9 Twenty American war planes and minor quantities of dynamite, powder and munitions have been unloaded and stored at Manila, pending the reopening of the Burma Road. It is understood the Chungking Government halted the shipments. The United States is not involved and consequently the stores can be reshipped whenever the route to China is available.
