FRENCH REFUGEES
REPORTED TO BE STARVING PLIGHT OF MILLIONS PLENTY OF FOOD FOR NAZIS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Aug. 10, noon) PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 9 The American Friends Service re r ports that millions of refugees, residents of unoccupied France are starving. Their conditions have been aggravated by the presence of from 5,000,000 to 10,000,000 refugees. There is adequate food in the occupied areas, but a scarcity of meats, butter and oil in the unoccupied territory, where stock is' being slaughtered because there is no feed.
