NAVAL MEN DECORATED
COUSIN OF KING INCLUDED LONDON, August 9 Among the names in the list of naval awards published on Friday is that of Captain Lord Louis Mountbatten, who is a cousin of the King. Lord Louis has been mentioned in despatches. A description of the deeds for which the docorations wore given illustrates the diversity of the duties falling to the Navy. For instance, an able seaman receives the D.S.M. “for determination and resource in effecting the roscue of several non-commissioned officors and men of the King's Own Royal Regiment when they were buried in the debris of a bombed house at Dunkirk—an act of bravery which earned special commendation from the Com-mander-in-Chief of the British Expeditionary Force. NATIONAL SAVINGS MEMBERSHIP OF 10,000,000 LONDON, August 9 Tho savings group formed under the national savings campaign now numbers 10,000,000 members. This was announced by Sir Robert Kindorsloy, who said tho campaign is now boing concentrated on increasing the number of members. He announced that there are now 1200 local committees and 250,000 voluntary workers, responsible for organising 150,000 groups of savings certificate contributors.
