Copyright) (Received August 9, 3.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 8 According to the Shanghai correspondent of the American Press a message from trustworthy foreign sources states that the Japanese Army and Navy are speeding preparations for further moves southward. A lightning thrust will be timed to coincide with any attempt to invade England. In the event of Hitler making no move Japan will proceed cautiously but inevitably toward the further extension of its influence.
