THAMES VALLEY ACTIVITY BOARD'S SOUND POSITION (Special to Times) TE AROHA, Thursday. The monthly meeting of the Thames Valiev Electric-power Board was held on Tuesday when the chairman, Air Price, presided. The manager, Mr B. Sprague, presented a quarterly report ending June 30 which, the chairman said, showed the board to be in a very sound position, lie paid a tribute to the work of the manager, the ehier engineer and their stairs, and in* was confident that the board would be able to show a good prom on the year’s operations. A letter was received from the secretary or the Golden Dawn Goldmining Company asking for some reduction in the. charges for power supplied to their battery at Walklno. Mr McLeod, the engineer. said tie had suggested methods whereby the co*t or tile power would be considerably reduced. It was decided to proceed as quickly as possible with the power-line at Putaruru for the New Zealand Forest Production Saiwmlliing Company.
