NOARUA FUNCTION
CARDS AND DANCING The Ngarua Hall was well filled recently, the occasion being a card and dance evening arranged by the local sub-branch of the Red Cross Society. Music for dancing was provided by Abby Conning and his Blue Boys orchestra, extras being played by Mr E. Holmes. The successful players in the five hundred card tournament were Mrs F. Seed and Mr J. Kellett. A novelty dance was won by Miss D. Buchanan and Mr F. Greenville. Mr F. Street carried out the duties of master of ceremonies. Among those present were:—Mesdames W. Scott, A. Vickers, S. C.
