HILLCREST BRANCH

LADY GALWAY GUILD A meeting of those interested in forming a branch of the Lady Galway Guild was held recently at Mrs Vercoe’s home, when it was decided to organise a “bring and buy” afternoon to obtain funds for material. The school committee kindly allowed the school to be used and the function proved most successful. Sincere thanks are due to all who helped by donations or gifts to stalls. The sum raised amounted to £24 16s lOd. The first sewing meeting was held at Mrs Sainsbury’s home on Wednesday, when there was a good attendance. The next meeting will be at Mrs Broad’s home on Wednesday, August 6.
