PATRIOTIC DANCE
OHAUPO FAREWELL A pleasant children’s plain and fancy dress evening followed by cards and dancing was held recently in the Te Rapa Hall, the proceeds going towards patriotic funds. The children played games and competitions and Misses Mona Tamita, Jessie Belchamber and Esma Milne rendered solos. Mrs Harrison, Miss Primmer, Messrs McHardie, G. McHardie, Pleass supplied the music. Mr B. Green ably carried out the duties of master of ceremonies. Miss Perkins and Mr Perkins were the winners of the novelty dance. Mrs Woods and Mr Yeates were the winners of the five hundred tournament, the consolation prizes going to Mrs Brady and Mr S. Holmes. After supper Mr Primmer, on behalf of friends, presented Mr B. Green, who is shortly leaving the district, with a leather brief bag. The committee had much pleasure in handmg over £5 towards patriotic funds.
