Holloway, Hamilton, has returned from a short visit to Waihi Beach. • * * • Mrs J. D. Robison, Hamilton, has returned from a visit to Mrs Gordon Bainbridge, Pirongia. • * * * Mrs Hubert Hammond, Hamilton, Is visiting Auckland and is the guest of her mother, Mrs C. B. Plummer. Mrs S. Oliver and Mrs S. T. Ross, Hamilton, have returned from a holiday at Wellington and Masterton. Miss F. Geach has returned to Hamilton from visiting her niece, Mrs A. Shaw, at Blenheim. • • • • Mrs Spence Fry, Hawera, is spending a holiday in Hamilton as the guest of her sister, Mrs H. Layne. Mrs J. R. Fow, Hamilton, will visit Auckland on Monday to attend the golden wedding of her brother, Mr S. Hardley, and Mrs Hardley. • * * * Mrs J. W. Chapman, president of the Waikato Federation of Women’s Institutes, is in Wellington, where she has been attending a meeting of the Dominion Council.. The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the St. Andrew’s Ladies’ Social Guild:— President, Mrs Clive Henry; vicepresidents, Mrs J. F. Vercoe and Mrs Moore; secretary, Mrs I. Baxter; treasurer, Mrs Boardman; committee, Mesdames D. A. Sellar, Sherson, D. Robertson, S. Hawkins, G. Boyes, E. Wallace, C. R. Smith, J. N. Irvine, M. Muir.
At a meeting of the Hamilton Health Society, Mr E. A. Olssen, of the W.E.A., will speak on “Are We a Progressive Community” at the Regal Tearooms, on Wednesday, July 31, at 3 g’clock. OTOROHANGA The Hon. Mrs Vane, who has been the guest of Mrs F. G. Johnson, has returned to Auckland. Mrs J. Turnbull, Fielding, is a visitor to Otorohanga. Miss B. Matthews has returned to “Glen Lee” after visiting Auckland. Mrs E. B. Wilkins, Palmerston North, is the guest of her sister, Mrs J. M. Matthews. Mrs K. Mossman has returned to Otorohanga after a fortnight in Auckland. * * * * Mrs Miles Coverdale has left to spend three months at the Mount, Tauranga. Miss Nora Rothery, Auckland, is spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs Henry Rothery.
