ALGERIAN OATS

IMPORT REQUIREMENTS ADVICE TO MERCHANTS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday A survey of stocks of Algerian seed oats was recently completed by the Director of Primary Production and an estimate has been made of the probable requirements for early autumn sowing. It is evident that it will be necessary to import a limited quantity for sowing as green feed crops.

Merchants wishing to import during the period from January to June, 1940, should apply to the Department of Agriculture not later than January 12, so that allocation of quantities may be made. Importations will be subject to the provisions of the import control regulations.
