“MAJOR BARBARA”
EERNARD SHAW PLAY FILMED WENDY HILLER AGAIN The production of George Bernard Shaw's comedy, “Major Barbara,” will start early in January in Britain. The part of “Major Barbara,” a Salvation Army lassie, was written by Shaw for the late illustrious Ellen Terry, who scored heavily in the role. “Major Barbara” in the picture will be played by Wendy Hiller, who created such a profound impression as Eliza Doolittle in Shaw’s “Pygmalion.”
Mickey Rooney’s Age Mickey Roonej' is 20, not 17 as often stated by his studio. He calls his mother “Nell.” Film of Prehistoric Monsters D. W. Griffith, pioneer motion picture director and producer, will produce the forthcoming spectacle, ‘ 1,000,000 8.C.,” but will not direct it. The story by Eugene Roche is a saga of prehistoric man’s struggle for existence against monsters and nati ural phenomena that stun the senses.
