OPENING DAV’S RACES (Special to Times.) HUNTLY, Wednesday. The Huntly Canvas Canoe Club held its official opening - day at tbe week-end in fine weatber. Tliere was a fair attendance of spectators. At tfie conclusion of the events, tfie prizes were presented to tlie winners by tbe president, Mr W. Moyes. Tbe principal event or the day was the race from the hridg-e to the “ Boatie"” for the Todd Cup, the winners being- G. Whitelaw and W. Callaghan in C U Later. Each was presented with a silver medal.
